Traditional Songjin Craftsmanship
Songjin, also known as Song Brocade, is one of China’s renowned traditional silk weaving techniques, valued for its elegant patterns, balanced structure, and refined craftsmanship.
The four-layer enclosed weaving technique creates a multi-dimensional textile surface by carefully organizing different layers of silk threads. This advanced method gives the lotus motif greater depth and allows the colors to transition naturally across the fabric.
The addition of decorative gold threads enhances the visual richness, adding subtle highlights while maintaining the softness and elegance of the silk foundation.
Care Instructions
Dry Clean Recommended: Professional dry cleaning is preferred. If hand washing, use cold water below 25°C and soak for no more than 3 minutes.
Mild Detergents Only: Use a neutral detergent for silk. Strictly avoid alkaline soaps, bleach, and fabric softeners.
Gentle Drying: Hang to dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area. Avoid direct sunlight, wringing, or pulling.
Low-Heat Ironing: Steam iron on low-medium heat with a pressing cloth. Never iron directly on the fabric.
Storage: Store flat in a dry, dark, and moth-proof environment to prevent permanent creases.
